It's hard to stop reporting on Boys Noize when he is straight killing the game. A few weeks ago we posted about his new collaborative release with Tiga, and then this past weekend touched on his upcoming album and BNR 10 year anniversary tour. The German techno legend is always up to something, but lately he has been up to a lot of things.
On his latest effort, we witness the man himself take on "Very First Breath," the recent single from Glasgow based producer Hudson Mohawke's upcoming album Lantern featuring rising vocalist Irfane. He calls it the Turbine Mix, and truly takes the original for a ride with a futuristic meets old school Daft Punk video game vibes.
It's feels like the late 90's or early 2000's, and if you listen closely it almost sounds like Boys Noize was bumping some "One More Time" while making this one. Regardless of his influences, there is always reason to celebrate when two renowned producers end up on the same track. Now we just need that collabo.
As an added bonus, we've included the recent StéLouse remix of the same track, which gears more towards Flume influences. The Denver based producer gives the track a highly melodic touch, juxtaposing visceral synthesizers with raw drums to create a stunning a head bobbing affect. Which one do you prefer?
