Piknic Electronik Announces Stacked Lineup For Hometown Festival

Montréal’s renowned Piknic parties have become synonymous with its music scene in the Summer. Such is their success, the promoters are now up and running across the globe having brought the brand to Paris, Melbourne, Barcelona and Dubai.

After much waiting and huge anticipation, Piknic Electronik has finally unveiled the first line-up announcement for their hometown festival and boy it's a treat.

The season kicks off with the traditional double header and the 2015 opener will certainly be one to remember. Berlin-based Irishmen Mano Le Tough and The Drifter lead the charge May 17th with a Maeve showcase, while the 18th will see BBC Radio One host Heidi return to Parc Jean Drapeau alongside the inimitable Maya Jane Coles.

Other bigger names to drop in the first wave announce include Crosstown Rebels main man Damian Lazarus, Play It Down maestro Jesse Rose and Hotflush Recordings chief Scuba. Toronto’s My Favourite Robot crew will also throw down in the idyllic riverside setting.

There’s lots of local talent on show too! Born Electric’s Iron Galaxy, Maher Daniel, Sinjin Hawke and more are lined up to showcase the city's budding scene.
