Ableton announced over the weekend that they'd be hosting a three-day summit from October 30 until November 1 in Berlin called Loop. The music software company describes Loop as three days of "performances, talks, and interactive workshops aimed at exchanging ideas at the cutting edge of music, creativity, and technology," bringing together an audience of "music makers: artists, technologists, educators, and creative thinkers". The summit focuses on current and future production techniques as "a collective exploration of what it is to make music today and what it could be tomorrow."
Featuring programs like Creativity in the Engineer’s Chair with Young Guru, Creative Blocks and Strategies for Overcoming Them with James Holden, and Loops and Repetition in Electronic Music with Henrik Schwarz, Ableton has put together a comprehensive array of guest speakers for its inaugural Loop summit. Other participants include TeamSupreme, Holly Herndon, Daniel Miller of Mute Records, Dot, and Peter Kirn (author of Create Digital Music). Check out all the details at the official Loop website
