A deserted woodland, a laid back crowd and three days of pleasure for the ears - Farr Festival kicks off today and it’s going to be a weekend of reverie and delight.
Just 30 minutes outside of London, this small boutique festival may be young in it’s years, but the line-up and the structure certainly doesn't lack maturity or experience.
Saturday night is already causing me some serious dilemmas with DJ Koze, Midland and Prosumer all taking to the stage at the same time. I'm planning on catching a slice of each, but that’s the beauty of being at a small-scale festival; tripping between stages will be a breeze.
With some of the UK’s best party starters and labels like Trouble Vision, Tief, and Stamp the Wax hosting stages over the weekend, it’s undeniable that the weekend is going to bring the noise and the vibes.
A first timer at Farr, I'm expecting a few things; to rub shoulders with an audience of pure dance music devotees, to not have to queue for a lifetime for an overpriced beer and to throw shapes until the sun comes up and my feet hate me.
This weekend is definitely set to be a banger. But don’t fret, you’ll be getting a full run-down of the events that unfold; the fantastical, the surprising and of course the insane selection of talent on display. I'm off to shake a leg, watch this space.
