Amsterdam's Dekmantel label has hosted its annual festival for three years now, priding itself on curating some of the best underground talent for its lineup, and this year is no different with acts like Carl Craig, Four Tet, Marcel Dettmann, Nina Kravitz, and Recondite leading the charge.
As a preview for this weekend's upcoming festival, Dekmantel turns the spotlight to Joy Orbison, a staple at Dekmantel parties and shows who has played at Dekmantel Festival every year since it began.

The minidoc features Orbison talking about his musical upbringing, touching on his career and his feelings about music. It also includes interviews with his uncle Ray Keith, a drum-and-bass producer who supported Joy Orbison's rise, as well as his aunt and girlfriend. "I knew straightaway that he was a selector," recalls Keith, on the first time he saw Orbison DJ. Watch below.
