Earlier this year, Point Blank celebrated the opening of their Los Angeles school in their Mack Sennett Studios home with a special launch event, and they did it in style! The oversubscribed event welcomed two hundred attendees who were able to get a first look at PB’s cutting edge music production workstations, with every iMac workstation in the class including Ableton Live with Push controller, NI Komplete 10, Kontrol 49 keyboards and REV by Output.
There were exclusive free giveaways for everyone in attendance, alongside live demonstrations and performances including an Ableton masterclass with Point Blank instructor Sweatson Klank, and an exceptional performance from LA-based musician, composer and producer Mark de Clive-Lowe. Watch this inspirational session from Mark below, as he demonstrates his creative workflow using an integrated setup of Maschine Studio, Komplete Kontrol and Komplete 10 Ultimate as a compositional tool to quickly build up a range of original beats and melodies.
Mark is one of many inspiring performers and musicians that Point Blank have had the pleasure of welcoming to their Los Angeles school since it opened in January. Students have witnessed masterclass sessions from the likes of Thavius Beck, Jimmy Mac (Lorde’s musical director), Laura Escudé and Travis Holcombe with many more to follow. These all come in addition to students’ class time with Point Blank’s team of expert instructors, all of whom are established music industry professionals. If you want to learn and develop your own craft with PB in Los Angeles, you can find out more about their Music Production & Sound Design Certificate, and for a limited time only there’s a 5% early bird discount off all Point Blank’s Los Angeles courses starting in September!
