Now controlling stems just got a whole lot easier with Flow 8 Deck, the new DJ software from Mixed In Key. The latest version allows the DJ to play 2, 4 or 8 decks of audio at the same time. The goal of the software is to enable the DJ to play a fluid, sophisticated set that borrows the best elements of each track instead of playing every MP3 from beginning to end. It's a brand new idea that allows for more control over a DJ set and will enable the user to be as creative as possible.
There is no telling how the industry will respond to this new technology, but it's an exciting new software with endless possibilities. In the past, a DJ could only reduce the high, mid, and low frequencies. Now we can cut out an entire stem of a track and piece them together with others in a totally new way that is unique to the individual controlling the software.
