This week’s top 10 trap and bass tracks comes just in time for all your labor day festivities. A lot of chill trap in this week’s chart, but there are still some vibey future tunes in there.
Huge original from the Space Race boys right here. Definitely deserving of the top spot on this week’s top 10 trap and bass tracks.
“Talking Body (HMU Remix)”
HMU fused future bass style synths with moombahton rhythms to create something truly unique and amazing. Shoutout to these guys.
“LAN (Ayo & Keyz Remix)”
Well established hip-hop producer AYO is taking a stab at electronic production, and with this soulful Elhae flip he’s proved that he has a place in both scenes.
“One Last Time (813 Remix)”
Future bass fire from 813. The Russian producer/firefighter (yes, he’s really a firefighter), takes the tempo down a notch from his usual fast paced future frenzy on his latest release. 2015 is the year of the slow banger.
“NWA vs UFO!”
UFO perfectly timed this NWA remix with the theatrical release of Straight Outta Compton. Not usually a fan of this style, but UFO brings an original take on what’s quickly becoming a played out sound.
Mango Juice Records
Swindail has added extra experimental textures to the usual chill trap model. Really feeling this one.
“Gemini Ft. George Maple (Ekali Remix)”
What So Not
Sweat It Out
Digging this shift from Ekali’s usual super heavy trap sound. This track is still fueled by booming 808’s, but also features vibrant future bass synths and shimmering samples for something completely new.
“Empathy ft. Vada”
Fool’s Gold Records
Madeaux’s New Wav EP is one of my favorite releases of 2015, and “Empathy” is my favorite track off of it due to the impressive way he blends synth pop into a heavy club beat.
If you like Sophie, you’re going to love his PC Music labelmate Alfie Casanova. Strange and experimental noises collide with an erotic vocal sample on this one.
“Dimelo (Esta Remix)”
Esta flips this Snakehips produced Tory Lanez track into a downtempo Soulection style banger.
