It’s been an extremely intense week for me, and this week’s top 10 trap and bass tracks reflects that. I selected some of my favorite ambient, chill tunes to help you ease into whatever your weekend has in store for you.
“Yeah Word Cool Tight”
I know I said I was going to keep it chill, but I had to kick off this week’s chart with this exciting up and coming LA based duo. Their extremely heavy style of bass music production brings a fresh sound to a genre over saturated with copycats.
Kastle is taking both his own sound and that of his label in an entirely new direction. 2 years ago they were on the future bass bandwagon with artists like Vindata, Sweater Beats, and Lindsay Lowend releasing music on the cusp of the future bass takeover. Now, Kastle is pushing darker styles of club music akin to labels like Night Slugs or Fade to Mind with a little more soul and melody thrown into the mix. Really enjoying this new wave of Symbols releases.
Coming in at #3 on this week’s top 10 trap and bass tracks, we have some super chill vibes from Siskiyou.
“B.A.B (Tuslo Remix)”
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of remixes of this song. Each one is heavier than the last.
Never heard of this guy, but he really impressed me with this one.
Extremely weird experimental sounds from Felix as only Point Point and their label Record Record would do.
Mazde ft. LissA
Indie-tronic flumey feels galore on this one.
Another super mellow tune courtesy of Whispa.
Basenji feat. Oscar Key Sung
More ambient sounds in this week’s chart. This one comes from Basenji and Oscar Key Sung.
“King (Milo Mills Remix)”
Years & Years
Closing out this week’s top 10 trap and bass tracks we have a funky remix of Years & Years from Milo Mills.
