Here is the second installment of this little series that I've taken on and I'm going to start calling "Rewind" for obvious reasons. For those of you who missed the first installment with Morgan Page's early deep house work, check it out here.
This whole idea came about after digging through all my old vinyl and discovering records from artists that have really changed their sound over the years. Most old school or semi-old school House heads remember a label called Plastic City which continues to pump out top shelf House music.
I came across one of Laidback Luke's early records from 1999 called "Music Always On My Mind" which is VERY different from the sound he's famous for now. This track is true Deep House at its finest, a great sensual vocal and jackin' beats that would still move dancefloors today. Hope you dig this little plastic nugget as much as I do, here's a snippet.
