What If Drugs Had Branding Slogans: Special K / Ketamine
So here is the second installment of our "What If Drugs Had Branding" series and this week we have chosen Special K or Ketamine.
Ketamine is a medication used mainly for starting and maintaining anesthesia. Other uses include sedation in intensive care, as a pain killer, as treatment of bronchospasm, as treatment for complex regional pain syndrome and as an antidepressant.
The recreational use of Special K in the rave and club scenes has been happening since the early 90s, so it's kind of a heritage brand.
So here we go, if Ketamine was sold on the shelves legally these are some of the slogans you might see:
The slow down campaign: "Music too fast? Slow Down With Special K"
Special K: Makes Minimal Techno Sound Great
Special K: Making Boring DJ Sets Sound Great Since '93
Ketamine: Goes Great With Your Drop Crotch Pants
Ketamine: Great Side Effects Like Agitation, Psychosis, Confusion and Muscle Tremors
Special K: Ooops, That Wasn't Cocaine
Special K: More Fun Than Flunitrazepam
Special K: You Won't Remember A Thing
Ketamine: Waking Up In Strange Places Since 1993
Special K: Being Catatonic Is FUN!
