EDM Wins at American Music Awards

Awards given to the most popular artists in the music industry

Another award show is in the books and EDM was well represented with the biggest names in the industry taking home top prizes.

For favorite EDM artist, Zedd, David Guetta and Calvin Harris faced off with Calvin Harris taking home the top spot. This could have gone to Zedd with little protest due to the release of his highly praised album True Colors.

In the category for best collaboration, Burino Mars and Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' or Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar's 'Bad Blood' could have sealed the deal, but of course Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber's collab 'Where Are Ü Now' stole the show. The track was easily one of the most played tracks of 2015 and possibly all-time.

EDM showed up for the popularity contest that is the AMA's and came away with some well-deserved hardware.
