When former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante left the band back in 2009, nobody could have guessed he would venture into electronic music. Earlier this year he released his debut album under his alias Trickfinger that had an acid house style vibe which was quite refreshing. Now he's shared a bundle of electronic experiments that seem to break down the boundaries of form to present us with something completely new and original.

Renoise Tracks 2009-2011 is a bit all over the place but the consistency is there as a collection of tracks. He will be leaning toward a melodic area and then completely flip the switch with energetic percussion and an assault of synth. This stuff may not be your thing, we know this, but if you are able to give it a chance you will be able to hear the musicality that lies underneath. Enjoy the tracks and be sure to download whichever one you dig the most. This writer leans toward '90/180' as a favorite.
