There's nothing out there that sounds quite like NO ZU. Of course there's nostalgic hints of '80s grooves and loads of funk in their music, but their original sound and style is something that's lost in the saturation of today's music scene. The 8-piece Aussie band from Melbourne has been making waves recently with their unique brand of music dubbed Heat Beat. Music that's clearly made for having fun and getting weird, NO ZU are set to share their ethos with the world.
For their recently released High Gloss EP the group has tapped the infamous LA boogie-man, Moon B (PPU, 1080p) who flips NO ZU's 'Ui Yia Uia' into a spacey dark dub with hints of a bouncy minimalist motif. It's a pleasure to premiere this funked up groove with our readers and we hope to be sharing more NO ZU in the near future.
