It's been 10 years since Alex Ridha, aka Boys Noize, launched his very own label in Boysnoize Records and to celebrate the occasion he's released a special documentary showcasing their massive world tour.
The longevity of the label can be attributed to the outstanding releases that dropped over the years. From Skream and Destructo to Siriusmo, Djedjotronic and Dog Blood, the label is filled with diversity yet also with a common theme of gritty dance music.
The short film was shot and directed by Lil Internet who described what it was like being on tour with the Boysnoize crew. “The tour was a dizzying journey across the planet, and I tried to convey that feeling aesthetically in the video," says the LA based artist. "This celebration of 10 years was joined by so many people in so many places and the music truly has this unifying and transcendent force.”
Boys Noize knows that having a core crew is of the utmost importance when putting togetehr a tour like this. "This tour has been really special to me," he says. "We’ve had so many crazy wild nights, but most important being with a crew that respects & loves each other means so much. To see so much support from our friends, DJs, promoters and fans all over the world is simply amazing."
The documentary features interview with the likes of 2ManyDJs, SCNTST, Club Cheval, Miss Kittin and Boys Noize himself. Watch the full doc below.
