The heart and soul of many different cities has been poured into the incoming Optiv & BTK EP, 'Dark City'. After a series of musical rendezvous, British based Optiv (Ed Holmes) and Brazilian based BTK (Vinicius Honorio) were collectively responsible for the first ever release on Black Empire Sun's label, Blackout NL. Two years on, Optiv & BTK have returned to Blackout and are kicking down the doors with Belgian vocalist Yves Paquet in tow.
'Dark City', the title tune off their new EP, a four track pearler, is an audibly atmospheric journey which packs a whole lotta whallop. "We are so happy with how how the track turned out. This was the first time we worked with the vocalist Yves who came with some great lyrics and delivery, keeping with that Dark City theme." - Optiv & BTK
First debuted by Friction on his BBC Radio1 show, Magnetic now brings you the exclusive online unveil. Let's roll in some tune!
Blinding bass to the drum. A proper throaty, growler - illuminated throughout with some seriously diligent vocals.
Take a wander through the Dark City on the 8th of January when the EP officially drops (or jump the gun on Christmas Day via Beatport).
