Today, January 18th, is the birthday of the legendary DJ and producer Frankie Knuckles, who sadly passed away on March 31st, 2014.

The mark he left on the dance community is unmatched due to the pioneering status he held when House music was in it's infancy. Whether it was with his iconic DJ sets at the Warehouse or his genre defining productions, it's widely accepted that dance music would not be what it is today without him. After all, he has been dubbed "The Godfather of House Music", and rightfully so.
