Back in 2013 we were introduced to the compelling musical style of Jessy Lanza. Her debut album, released on Hyperdub, featured an effortlessly exhilarating fusion of electro-pop and 90’s R&B with bewitching vocals that captivated listeners the world over. Now she's revealed details of her sophomore album that explores a personal side to the artist that we have yet to see.

The next chapter in the Jessy Lanza saga deals with the pressures of music making. A process that used to be tranquil for the artist became a catalyst for anxiety. With that being said, Jessy found ways to deal with these feelings and as such has produced an album that reflects her emotions.

“I want to make people feel good and I want to make myself feel good.”

When discussing the album artwork and images seen in her videos, Jessy Lanza explains how surrounding herself with plants aided her creative process. "I became obsessed with surrounding myself with tropical plants. I've been convinced that the air quality in our house is slowly killing us. It might sound crazy but the plants have made a huge difference."
