At the beginning of every year, most people are concerned with upholding their New Year's resolutions, but dance music fans could care less because they're usually too busy planning out their itinerary for The BPM Festival in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. This year, there's a total of 75 parties in 10 days, so we thought it best to lend a helping hand by selecting nine essential events that must not be missed. Yes, almost every event is worthy of attending, but for us, these ones stand out above the rest thanks to their notoriety. Agree or not, these are the showcases we think are the best that BPM has to offer this year.
January 9th (DAY) - All Day I Dream - Martina Beach
There's no wonder why Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream event series continues to return to the BPM Festival as it's arguably one of the best daytime parties in dance music. From the decor of the events to the magically melodic quality of music selected by the carefully curated DJs, to the amazing crowd that follows. All Day I Dream is always a crowd favorite and not just any crowd's but the right crowd.

January 9th (NIGHT) - Richie Hawtin Presents ENTER. - Blue Parrot
Richie Hawtin spent the past four years growing his ENTER. brand into one of the biggest party brands that not just Techno has to offer, but dance music as a whole. He's had four extremely successful seasons in Ibiza and as is evident here, he's taken the brand around the world as well. So for those of you that may have difficulty making it to Ibiza this coming season, make sure you do not miss this one.

January 11th (NIGHT) - Keinemusik - Salsanera
The crew from Berlin called Keinemusik were behind some of 2015's biggest underground hits such as &ME with "Woods" & Rampa with "Newborn Soul." The two tunes along with most of the rest of their material all had one thing in common and that was a distinct, woody, percussive sound that the gang is currently owning on a very large level. The aforementioned sound is all their own and it can be attributed to the six members of the crew including &ME, Adam Port, and David Mayer who will all be making a very special appearance this year at the Keinemusik showcase!
Do Not Miss: &ME
January 12th (NIGHT) - Suara - La Santanera
Coyu's feline-friendly, hit-making, imprint Suara makes a well-deserved return to The BPM Festival and this year he's brought along some of the label's most essential contributors including rising tech-house star Olivier Giacamotto, techno titan Marc Dosem, and the prolific Edu Imbernon. This lineup is stacked top to bottom with absolute quality!
Do Not Miss: Dosem
January 13th (DAY) - Mobilee - Martina Beach
My personal favorite label of 2015, Mobilee will be making a big impact at BPM this year thanks to a well-rounded crew of techno and tech-house aficionados such as label-boss Anja Schneider, all around bad ass DJ Nick Curly, Ovum's Josh Wink, and of course, what is expected to be the main event, a live performance from the uber-talented Rodriguez Jr which is not to be missed.
Do Not Miss: Rodriguez Jr.
January 13th (NIGHT) - Drumcode - Blue Parrot
Adam Beyer's lineup may be one of the smallest in quantity at BPM next week but it certainly stands up next to the rest of them in regards to quality thanks to the label boss heading up the bill along with another techno star, Alan Fitzpatrick!
Do Not Miss: Adam Beyer
January 15th (DAY) - Solomun+1 - Martina Beach
Solomun's DJ sets at BPM have become the stuff of legends and his set last year at the festival was no exception as it was named the top set of the festival by Be-At Tv!
Do Not Miss: Solomun
January 15th (NIGHT) - Life and Death - The Jungle
My personally most-anticipated event of this year's BPM Festival belongs to the festival size event Life and Death which will be taking place at an all new secret venue in the jungle aptly titled, "The Jungle."
Do Not Miss: Tale Of Us
January 16th (DAY) - Apollonia - Canibal Royal
The French trio Apollonia is known quite well for their vinyl-only extended sets that have become legendary all over Europe but in North America, an extended DJ set from the trio can be a hard thing to come by. However, this is one chance where the guys get to stretch and show us what they can do under these circumstances.
