What is happening in Flint, Michigan right now is truly tragic. People have been without clean water since the better half of 2015 and there have even been reports of a number of casualties because of poisoned water. With it being hard to survive, the government declared the area of Flint to be in a state of emergency. The basic necessity of water is being compromised due to lead poisoning and people are feeling the effects.
It’s times like these when it’s great to see celebrities stepping up not only in their communities but others as well. Detroit native Big Sean, has donated $10,000 to the cause as well as Meek Mill, Cher and Jack White donating their fare share.
Mark Walberg and P. Diddy, investors in the AQUAhydrate, have pledge to donate one million bottles of water to the community of Flint. It seems like the AQUAhydrate team is doing just about everything they can. P. Diddy has previously stated, "Mark and I made an initial pledge to donate and are committed to the continued aid to Flint residents as long as they need it. We hope this commitment will inspire others to get involved as well.” Clearly their commitment has worked as they were also able to get Eminem and Wiz Khalifa on board with AQUAhydrate.
There is no doubt that AQUAhydrate will continually be sending water until the crisis is over. Working closely with the Red Cross and Homeland Security, the people of Flint will be getting clean water. All we can do now is hope that this problem can be solved sooner rather than later.
