NYC based collective and record label The Bunker New York are getting set to celebrate 13 years in the business this Saturday at Good Room in Brooklyn.
The collective was spawned in the early 2000s with a general ethos of providing the public with events that boasted artists that no other promoter would bring to the city. Since then they have brought in experienced DJs and live acts such as Paranoid London, Prosumer, Donato Dozzy, Moritz Von Oswald, Mathew Jonson, Fred P, Magda and numerous others.
Not just an event series, but also a label, The Bunker has dropped quality releases from the likes of Voices From The Lake, Mark Verbos, Ulysses, Atom™ and Marco Shuttle among others. They've proven to stand out due to the unique nature that each release possesses with gritty textures and eerily atmospheric motifs. Techno is the name of the game and hypnotic rhythms are found throughout their catalogue.
But enough with the name dropping! The Bunker has grown and evolved over the years to become a staple within the NYC underground community. Their dedication to their craft has solidified their tastemaker status and the future is looking bright.
