Most producers would love the chance to see how their favorite artists go about writing music, and recently there has been an influx of artist showcasing their ability. Earlier this week it was Flux Pavilion who showed us how it's done and now the dutch superstar Martin Garrix takes us inside the studio.
In this 15 minute interview Garrix reveals how he begins every song, starting with a simple preset from Sylenth1 that allows him to hash out the chords and melody rather than focusing on synthesis from the get go. He quickly puts together an extremely catchy short song all while answering interview questions live.
He explains how it takes him 20-30 hours per song to get everything just right, but how he can get a lot of the ideas out pretty quickly. Watch and be amazed below!
