Once thought to be a pair of musical robots from outer space, Daft Punk revolutionized the sound, style and culture of dance music. The production duo consisting of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter continue to be as relevant today as ever with "old-school" themes making their way back into the spotlight, themes that Daft Punk helped carry on in the late '90s and throughout their careers.

Funky guitar riffs, a fat bassline and a steady beat have always been an important aspect of Daft Punk's sound. This is even more evident in the solo work of Thomas Bangalter who has recently been sharing his older production by uploading music videos to Youtube. This includes the standout track and sole release from Stardust, 'Music Sounds Better With You', produced with fellow Stardust band members Alan Braxe and vocalist Benjamin Diamond. Most recently Bangalter also uploaded his funk fueled track 'Club Soda' originally released back in 1998. Listen and watch the two videos below and take a step back in time to the beginning of Daft Punk's signature sound.
