Innovative Nightclub Has Lights That Respond to Crowd's Movements
"The Year is an industrial space turned dance club, with its hangar reimagined as an interactive light installation."
A new nightclub in São Paulo called The Year features an innovative design from the mind of Brazilian architect Guto Requena. With one of the most technologically unique light set-ups in the world, the LED cage reacts to the crowd below, delivering a totally different experience every time.
The way it works stems from a sensor in the top of the structure, translating atmospheric temperatures and movements into various effects.
“It’s a dance floor that reacts to the guests’ stimulation, working as an extension of their own bodies,” explains Requena. Watch the video below to get a glimpse of the possibilities.
