What The Festival is the best weekend of music you probably haven't heard enough about. The tucked away utopia about 90 minutes east of Portland has quickly become Oregon's premiere festival with their highly sought after pool parties, luscious woods to explore, and Mt. Hood's overarching peak sitting what seems like in arms reach of the main stage.
The festival now looks forward to year five with a stacked and diverse offering of talent that includes Thievery Corporation, Bonobo, Lettuce, Louis The Child, Jai Wolf, Claude VonStroke, FKJ, Claptone, and much more. In classic What The Festival style, fans can expect an even serving of house, future, electronica, live music, local talent, and just about everything in between.
We made the trek up north for What The Festival last year, and the previous two years before that, and can say first hand that Oregon's hidden gem is one of the best festivals on the market. It's like a smaller Lightning In A Bottle with less desert and much more trees.
With average attendance sitting around 5,000 people, it's the perfect fit for the heavenly grounds of Wolf Run Ranch. Enough room to roam without feeling like any stage or experience is more than a few minute walk. Pool parties during the day, open fields through the night, and deep exploration into the woods for the after hours party. What The Festival is love. What The Festival is life.
