This Year’s UK Festival Bloc Will Be the Last One Ever

“Weekenders are strange, beautiful things” – the festival promoters are looking to the next chapter

UK festival Bloc have announced that their upcoming weekender of Techno frivolity will mark their last.

Co-founder Alex Benson has announced they will be shifting their focus towards their East London venue, with looming plans to build a London super club. Speaking to RA in an interview, Benson explained “We want to develop this community and the venue at the heart of it. It will, like the current venue, be called Bloc. And it will be surrounded by music studios which won't cost the earth to rent and aren't about to be sold, knocked down or redeveloped.”

The weekender running from 11-13 March at Butlins, ordinarily a family resort, sees Thom Yorke, Four Tet, Ben Klock and Carl Craig among the names touching down on Somerset soil.

Don’t fear, you still have the chance to make that final dance – cop tickets and get the full low down here.
