Being knowledgeable and skilled with the CDJ and mixer setup is a necessity for almost all DJs today. CDJ 2000s are the industry standard and every DJ who wants to play a big show will almost undoubtedly have to use them, or risk looking like an amateur. With that in mind, it’s best to know exactly what you are doing.

If you don’t have ~$6,000 laying around to purchase your own pair, you may have little time to practice on CDJs, and that's another reason why you want to know everything you can about them in order to have the best possible set.

Groove3, an online school that boasts “the equivalent of attending a renowned DJ school – for a fraction of the cost,” does exactly that! I tried out Groove3 and specifically the CDJ course and I have to say, it's perfect for anyone who doesn’t always have the chance to use them. I'm an experienced DJ and even I learned something useful from the course.

This course, curated by DJ Shortee, will transform a beginner into someone who knows nearly everything there is to know about using CDJs.
