Thursday, March 17th - Day 1

Miami Music Week (formerly known as Winter Music Conference) is known for it's utter and complete chaos, in a good way. Just about every DJ on the planet descends on Miami for a week of networking, pool parties, and late night revelry. This year the Magnetic crew decided to approach things a little differently. We took two video teams down to the beach and split up to bring our readers/viewers live interviews and party cams from the hottest events on the beach.

How was this different? Well for starters we used Periscope and Facebook's brand new live video stream to broadcast our message. We also were completely mobile using customized camera set-ups (aka the Frankenrig) that allowed us to move to wherever the action was.

Day one for the #MagneticLive team was a bit challenging for a couple of reasons, first being that we had never done this before and the second bandwidth was not all that great. That didn't stop our crew, and we made the most of the meager reception bars that we had and got some great interviews with Arty, Sander van Doorn, Jackmaster, Arcadia, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and W&W.

We have taken all of the DJ interviews that happened live and edited them a bit, but for the most part this is how the live broadcasts looked.

Special thanks to Bing, Rockstar Energy Drink, BMF Media, SiriusXM, The Media Nanny, Rephlektor PR, Sony Records, Ultra Records and all the artists that participated in this maiden voyage of what we are calling Peer-to-Peer Media.

Day 2 Will be up tomorrow, where we pivoted to Facebook Live
