Listen to the First New Music from MSTRKRFT in 5 Years

With 'Little Red Hen' it's clear that MSTRKRFT have not lost a step

After taking the electronic music scene by storm with their distinctly gritty and hard hitting brand of dance music, MSTRKRFT remained fairly quiet for the past 5 years. Back in 2011 they dropped a pair of quality singles and 2 years before that they released their Fist of God LP, which was met with high marks. Now the duo, consisting of Jesse F. Keeler and Al-P, have stormed back with a new track titled 'Little Red Hen' that picks up right where they left off.

"A big part of the sound is the curation of equipment," says Al. "There's no trickery- what you hear is what you get and we're not manipulating anything afterward. We set limits for ourselves sonically and stylistically as far as the palette goes."

Debuting on A-Trak's Beats 1 Radio show, 'Little Red Hen' has all the characteristics of their distinct, analogue hardware driven electro. It's raw, it's loud and it makes us want to pick up this computer and smash it on the desk. Thankfully we're not going to do that, but we will be watching MSTRKRFT very closely to see what else they turn over in the coming months. Stay tuned.
