When Zeds Dead collaborates with a Hip Hop artist it definitely yields positive results. Think back to their groundbreaking collaborations with Omar LinX. Their production style just fits brilliantly with a proper verse layered over their foundation and they've done it yet again with the new track 'Back Home'.
The Toronto natives recently joined forces with lyrical icon Freddie Gibbs and the result is a bass fueled track that coincides with the current state of rap culture.
The high-hats in this one absolutely kill it with it's Trap influenced arrangement, but what makes this one stand out is the distinctly Zeds Dead low end. The gritty textures and driving melody are aspects of their musical style that we fell in love from the start and are on full display in this new production.
The track also serves as an introduction to their freshly launched label, Deadbeatz, along with a taste of what we can expect from their forthcoming debut album. We will definitely be hearing much more from them in the near future, so stay locked.
