At this years Superbooth show, German developer Sugar Bytes debuted its forthcoming soft synth, Factory.
Factory is a polysynth plugin built around a dual oscillator engine and a sub oscillator. Each oscillator offers a range of wavetables, including the standard analogue classics along with various tweaking and shaping options.
Factory's main USP lies in its flexible modulation matrix, which offers eight source and eight destination slots, each of which can be assigned to any available parameter. Routing paths are represented by colored dots, which change in size and hue representing modulation depth. As with most modulation matrices (and Sugar Bytes ones in particular), there is an option for randomizations and morphing, bringing the beauty of randomizing into perfection.
Factory should arrive in the next few months and Sugar Bytes has yet to reveal the price just yet.
