XS Las Vegas first broke the news via Instagram, saying that Avicii would not be going through with his residency and that Dillon Francis would be his replacement last weekend. He also was supposed to perform at Encore Beach Club, but was replaced by Marshmello.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Avicii described his reasons for retiring, saying it was “something I had to do for my health." He went further by stating, “The scene was not for me. It was not the shows and not the music. It was always the other stuff surrounding it that never came naturally to me.”
