Ever since Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett announced a new Gorillaz album back in October 2015, fans have been eager to get information on what they've been cooking up in the studio.

Back in April we were teased studio footage of Albarn, and there have also been hints at collaborations with artists like Jean Michel-Jarre, Twilite Tone, and Liam Bailey. Now, via a photo posted by Remi Kabaka, who voices the Gorillaz fictional character Russel Hobbs, we have been given another tease. Chicago rapper Vic Mensa is likely to be featured on the album as well.

GorillazNorthAmierca said via Twitter that Albarn and Hewlett have been in Chicago and New York City recently, and that this collab shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Vic Mensa came out during Albarn's performance at Governors Ball back in 2014 to rap a verse on 'Clint Eastwood'. If this is any indication, we know to expect a creative mix of tracks when the album drops.
