Qdup lines up a special promo mix for the third annual DC Funk Parade and it’s primed to get you ready to Roll Your Funk at this years event.

The mix includes a premier of a forthcoming Fort Knox Five tune, 'Don’t Go feat. Joe Quarterman', which is a collaboration that came about through preparations for this years parade. Washington, DC native Joe Quarterman had his first hit in 1973 with 'So Much Trouble On My Mind', an instant funk classic that was part of the capital city's red hot 70s funk scene. Qdup’s mix embodies that timeless funk that's still rocking over 40 years later. It features Public Service announcements from Rare Essence, Kokayi, Rufus Roundtree, Empresarios & Congo Sanchez straight from the heart of the Mothership on DC’s U Street, letting you know about the Funk Parade!

Fort Knox Recordings and U Street Music Hall will be presenting a showcase at the parade. Saturday May 7th, 2016 @ U Street Music Hall
