New Study Ranks Music Fans by City from Best to Worst

Nashville and Honolulu top the list?

Each city possesses it's own essence, vibe, and personality, which may very well be a reflection of the people who live there. There are also common perceptions of each location, like how everyone in Los Angeles knows someone in show business or that everyone in New York City is always rushing to get somewhere. But when it comes to music, which city in the US has the best fans? It's a fairly subjective topic, although a new study decided to crunch some data in order to come up with a comprehensive ranking. 

Conducted by researchers at ValuePenguin, the study looked at 15 data points, including the number of bars per 1,000 people and their closing time, record stores per 1,000 people, and the median wage for musicians, among other things. Not all data points were equal, as "bands and musicians and where they play were more important than city-specific data points."

We're not sure how we feel about this list, but it's definitely an interesting look at music fans in the United States. We bet you couldn't have guessed the top 10...
