Amtrac has followed up last week's Running After / No Order EP with the Mixmag premiere of a track titled "Farewell." Over the past several years the producer has established himself as a permanent fixture of the international house music landscape, showing no signs of slowing down.
The less-is-more sensibility evident in "Farewell" suits it for the sort of soothing, hypnotic deep house that extends into daybreak at an outdoor venue. A rubbery synth line finds its way into the arrangement after a minute or so, infusing the track with a tasteful measure of danceability.
Amtrac's big break arrived when his 2011 single "Came Along" was premiered on MTV's Clubland. While his career has steadily progressed in the years since, dance music fans have come to favor more classic styles since about 2014 - a trend from which his career has undoubtedly benefited.
The official release of "Farewell" by Amtrac is slated for August 26th through W&O Street Tracks. The song will be accompanied by one titled "Renton" in another EP.
