We Traveled To Ibiza For One Last Night With Carl Cox At Space - Oh Yes, Oh Yes!
After a 15-year residency at club Space Ibiza, the end of an era has approached for Carl Cox. After announcing the end of his "Music Is Revolution," residency at the #1 voted club in the world last year, I immediately knew I had to experience this for myself. Luckily I had the chance to catch one of Cox’s last shows at Space on the White Isle, and it just so happened to be his birthday celebration as well!
Upon landing on the Balearic island that day with my photographer/boyfriend in tow, we saw billboards, signs and flyers about the Tuesday night residency everywhere we turned. We made the journey to Ibiza specifically for Carl, and immediately knew we had made the right choice.
As the anticipation was almost unbearable, we showed up so early that the main room wasn’t even open yet. Oops! Dubfire warmed things up for a few hours before the king himself hit the decks at 3:00 AM. By this time, the main room was wall-to-wall packed! As expected, Cox took the crowd on a musical journey on "The Final Chapter" of his residency, before a back-to-back set with Dubfire at 6:00 AM. The crowd stayed strong throughout the night into the early morning hours, making it the perfect experience for a night out in Ibiza.
If you’ve ever wanted to know what dreams are made of and see Carl Cox in ibiza, or you’re dying to see him on the island one last time, his Tuesday night residency concludes on September 20th, so you better get moving! If you’re wondering if it was worth it to travel all the way to Ibiza for this, the answer is absolutely yes. I knew that I’d regret not experiencing the last residency, therefore I made it happen in the name of my love for music. Life is short, seize the opportunities you have now to travel if it’s possible!
