Kölsch to Embark on Four-Date US Tour
It's been a while since US electronic music fans have had a proper introduction to the genius that is Kölsch, but in a couple of weeks that's about to change. The unconventional Danish producer's nostalgic style of techno would make a perfect soundtrack to some of the shifts going on in our various scenes, so it's high time we had a phase.
Rune Reilly Kölsch has announced a short tour consisting of stops in four major US cities. It's safe to say that the next time around he'll visit for a much longer stint, as enough house and techno enthusiasts are sure to clamor for his return after August draws to a close.
Being that his signature style is characterized by antiquated synths and almost Kraftwerk-esque melodies, Kölsch's music strays just far enough outside the confines of more formulaic deep house and techno to be interesting without offending each genre's discerning fan base. With a creative vein is similar to that of producers like George Fitzgerald and Joris Voorn, it's only a matter of time before he becomes a household name Stateside as well.
Look at the dates below to see if you're fortunate enough to be in one of the markets where Kölsch is playing this month.
