London nightclub Studio 338 catches fire

A fire has erupted in the building of Studio 338, which is located near the Blackwall Tunnel in London's Greenwich Peninsula. The London Fire Brigade reported receiving the first of dozens of emergency calls around 11:43 AM after large plumes of black smoke originating from the building of the nightclub had been seen by members of the public.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service are also onsite, as at least one person is being treated for injuries resulting from the fire. Nearby roads have also been closed due to smoke spilling into carriageways.

Fifteen fire engines from East Greenwich, Greenwich, Plumstead, Eltham, Deptford, Lewisham, Poplar, Whitechapel, and Bethnal Green have arrived on the scene. According to a spokesperson on behalf of the fire service, "a recycling yard, some industrial units and pub" are being affected by the smoke.
