"Never Be Like You," which featured vocals by Toronto singer Kai, came out through Future Classic in January - which means that the RIAA reported that a million units (each of which account for a single hard copy or download sale, or multiple streams) had sold in the span of roughly seven months.

For reference, Jack Ü and Justin Bieber's "Where Are Ü Now" went platinum after four months, and the track had the combined star power of Bieber, Diplo and Skrillex working in its favor.

Since the announcement, Flume has resumed the North American leg of his tour. He will perform at the famous Masonic Temple in Detroit tonight, August 22nd, before a gig at Stage AE in Pittsburgh tomorrow.
