Daft Punk are a merchandising empire unto themselves, putting out everything from action figures to beach towels to bro tanks. It might surprise you to learn that they actually release music as well - or re-release it, in this case, as a gold vinyl record of their 1995 hit, "Da Funk," will soon hit the market.
More specifically, Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari will be issuing the limited-edition vinyl press to celebrate their artist magazine, TOILETPAPER, selling its millionth copy. Only 1,000 copies of the vinyl record will be pressed, and will also feature the track "Teachers," which appeared alongside "Da Funk" on Daft Punk's 1995 album, "Homework."
The limited-edition gold vinyl record of Daft Punk's "Da Funk" runs for £50 and can be purchased through The Vinyl Factory. With any luck, the French duo will announce the release date for their upcoming album sometime in the near future as well - or at least their collaboration with The Weeknd, which will almost surely appear on the effort.
