There aren't a great many songs that seem to sum up electronic music has to offer quite like "Strobe" by deadmau5. The ten-minute progressive house odyssey, which came out through Ultra Music in 2009, has been proven just as timeless as ever now that some of the most iconic artists of our time have just offered up a series of remixes.
Feed Me's remix of "Strobe" clocks in at only about a minute under the source material, and embodies much of the same style - Dimension's rerub captured more of the drum and bass appeal Feed Me fans might have hoped for. Com Truise slowed it down and incorporated more retro synth work into his reimagining, while Lane 8 predictably infused a distinct deep house sensibility into his own arrangement.
For our money, the best remix of the bunch was that of deadmau5 protégé and Mau5trap signee ATTLAS, who did an impressive job of staying true to the original while still incorporating interesting changes into his production. Then again, for the producer's producer that we recently discovered him to be, this doesn't come as all that much of a surprise.
'MAU50100: STROBE REMIX arrives today, September 23rd, by way of Mau5trap. You can listen to each of the tracks in the YouTube players below, and stream or purchase them here.
