Unfortunate news has surfaced for anyone who had planned to attend Beach Vibes Festival, the Mexico music event curated by LCD Soundsystem, in January of 2017. The festival's organizers have announced that after careful deliberation they have decided to cancel the event.

"The event was not coming together in the way that it was envisioned, and all parties have agreed that putting on an event that is less than 100% would be a disservice to the fans and bands alike," read a statement posted to the event website. "Therefore, canceling the weekend-long event is in the best interest of all involved."

LCD Soundsystem and CID had announced that they would be curating the event in June, and enlisted the likes of Hot Chip, Run the Jewels, Carl Craig, DJ Harvey, Holy Ghost! to perform. In addition, LCD Soundsystem were to perform two headlining sets themselves.

The statement also disclosed that those who purchased all-inclusive packages would be fully refunded, including airfare, and would be contacted in the coming days.
