Zeds Dead's promotional wheels have been turning leading up to the release of their highly anticipated new album, but their destination is finally in sight. The Canadian duo have announced that Northern Lights will come out on October 14th alongside the Pitchfork premiere of "Stardust" featuring Twin Shadow.
Zeds Dead just kicked off a tour of the effort's namesake, which made for a fitting time to fire off the following tweet:
Clicking on the shortlink in the tweet takes you to the Pitchfork article in which "Stardust" is embedded as a SoundCloud player. The song's vocalist, Twin Shadow, previously contributed vocals to their 2014 single, "Lost You," but the song trades the nu-disco flair of the previous collaboration for an R&B sensibility almost reminiscent of "Needed Me" by Rihanna.
Pusha T, Rivers Cuomo, Diplo, Elliphant, Styles P and Atlas have already made their contributions to the Northern Lights known. As for the rest of the effort, fans will have to wait until the 14th - unless Zeds Dead releases more singles early in the the time between.
