Pacha and Ushuaïa Ibiza are the latest establishments to suffer at the hands of a large-scale government crackdown that's been taking over the summer of 2016. Ibiza authorities have infiltrated both of the historic nightclubs, uncovering millions of euros in what they believe to be laundered cash in the process.

"Operation Chopin" has targeted a staggering 87 venues as of this writing. Pacha and Ushuaïa each found themselves on that list on September 15th at 6:30 and 8:00 AM, respectively, and officials suspect both venues to be guilty of tax fraud.

A tax agent participating in the investigation told Diario De Ibiza, "Now we just have to verify if the amounts correspond to those declared in the companies' accounting records."

Space Ibiza and Privilege also landed in the local government's crosshairs during Operation Chopin. It's hard to imagine what the White Isle will look like in the years to follow, but it's safe to say that changes are afoot.
