Daft Punk and The Weeknd spared no expense in pairing their recent collaboration with a thoroughly engaging visual accompaniment. We'll admit that we weren't entirely impressed by what they delivered in the form of "Starboy," but the official music video for the single offers plenty of redeeming value.
A crisply shot cinematic montage portrays The Weeknd alternating between destroying a room with glowing red cross and doing the robot, all the while mouthing along to the song's incendiary lyrics. The only cameo made by Daft Punk is on an oil painting in one of the scenes - which, as it occurs to us, is a striking metaphor for how evident their influence on the track itself is.
The "Starboy" video features plenty of other zany little quirks - like The Weeknd getting into a car with a panther after his rampage and riding into the night, for instance. Have a look in the YouTube Player above and tell us what your favorite part was in the comments section below.
