Jake Udell is the mind behind TH3RD BRAIN, a management company which represents such renowned electronic music acts as ZHU, Gallant and Krewella - and if his latest endeavor turns out to have wings, the list could get a whole lot longer. He's announced the launch of TH3RD BRAIN Accelerator, a program geared towards the development of promising musicians.
While he cites his time managing the aforementioned artists as having inspired TH3RD BRAIN Accelerator, Udell also mentions having taken cues from Silicon Valley companies like Y Combinator and Tech Stars. "I've been taking notes from the tech world and applying their successes to my work as a music manager and entrepreneur for some time now," he writes in a press release. "We at TH3RD BRAIN finally decided to design an experience focused on the ultimate goal of breaking recording artists."
The TH3RD BRAIN Accelerator curriculum itself consists of actual, physical meetings over a 12-week period in Los Angeles. The workshops are tailored to both artists and managers with the intention of fostering goal-oriented behaviors in its pupils.
The application deadline for the Spring 2017 TH3RD BRAIN Accelerator program is January 20th, 2017. Artists and managers can apply here, and find more details about the program as a whole on the official website.
