One of Insomniac Events' more celebrated recent endeavors is Dreamstate, its worldwide festival brand dedicated to the spectrum of styles fanning out from the trance genre. The SoCal-based promoter received such overwhelmingly positive response after the inaugural edition of the festival that it blossomed into a full-fledged global phenomenon.
With the second edition of its flagship SoCal event only a month out, the massive's organizers have announced the return of its San Fransisco adaptation as well.
Dreamstate San Fransisco will once again grace the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on May 27th and 28th of 2017. This year's installment had taken place in January, and had featured a slightly more mainstream lineup of artists which included such mainstagers as Gareth Emery and Markus Shulz in addition to more obscure offerings like Jordan Suckley, Solarstone and Vini Vici.
Being that Dreamstate SoCal has grown significantly from 2015-2016 (it boasts three times the number of headliners as last year and has expanded to four stages) it's likely that the time frame of Dreamstate San Fransisco got pushed back so as not to oversaturate the California market. The good news, however, is that that probably means that the latter festival will also expand to multiple stages for its second edition as well.
As of this writing, however, Insomniac has yet to release any details of the lineup or staging elements of Dreamstate San Fransisco. They likely will before the end of the year, though, so if you count yourself among the Bay Area trance family then keep on the lookout in the weeks to follow.
