Billboard: DJ Kygo Is On the Verge of Becoming Dance Music's Next Superstar

Kygo has found himself the topic of undesirable press, as singer/songwriter Maty Noyes, - who was featured on his February track, "Stay" - has taken to social media to accuse his manager of sexism over a disagreement. Noyes has claimed that "Manager Myles" Shear has refused to let her from perform alongside the DJ/producer at the two sold-out Hollywood Bowl performances that capped off his Cloud Nine Tour, and Ke$ha has voiced her support for Noyes on social media.

In an Instagram post, Noyes claimed that Shear has "punished" her for missing a performance due to illness by barring her from the two L.A. dates. She claims that he told her, "Put on a pretty dress, lipstick, open your mouth and sing. We don't need your voice in the show, we only deal with the best." She has also claimed to have performed "Stay" while touring with Kygo for a year without payment.

Ke$ha - Dr. Luke + Zedd = "True Colors"

One of Noyes' supporters has tweeted Shear's Instagram account information - which Noyes herself retweeted. Ke$ha, who is involved in her own embittered legal debacle with pop music producer Dr. Luke over rape allegations, has also spoken out in favor of Noyes, writing in an Instagram post, “My [heart] is with @matynoyes. Sweetheart you should be singing at the Hollywood Bowl tonight. It’s unfair to you, and it’s unfair to your fans.”

Nobody from Kygo's team has issued an official statement in regards to the incident, and it's anybody's guess whether or not they will in the days to follow.
