There's probably nobody better than Nadastrom to tell us what the "moombahton classics" are. After all, Dave Nada practically invented the genre by slowing down a house-tempo track to the speed of reggaeton over a half-decade ago. That was the beginning of a movement that has catalyzed many notable artists, including Dillon Francis and Major Lazer, into the upper reaches of dance music.

Tomorrow, Nadastrom are playing CONTROL at AVALON Hollywood to celebrate their recent Jupiter / Chivas EP, and we're marking the occassion with this playlist of moombahton classics curated by the band themselves.

Sidney Samson - Riverside (Dave Nada's Moombahton edit)

"This is one of the first original moombahton edits I made. It's still a crowd pleaser to this day!"

Munchi - Sandungeo

"I consider this the first original moombahton track made (that wasn't an edit)...and arguably the best."

Dillon Francis - Masta Blasta

"This was Dillon's biggest first moombahton track and an overall game changer. This helped popularize the sound."

Nadastrom - i!!

"Our low-key collab with Skrillex. We filmed the video in Ecuador and it's been like our 'Moombahton Massive" anthem."

JWLS - Bashin

"Another game changer! Julio of GTA knocked it out the park with this track and it still goes hard af."

Tittsworth & Alvin Risk - Pendejas

This is a massive banger and considered a D.C. anthem. If you ever heard "Pendejas" being played at a massive in D.C., you know what I'm talking about.

Gent & Jawns - Vibrate

"'Vibrate' was a huge moombahton hit. Always felt like this was the precursor to the twerk/bass sound, G&J always nails it."

ETC!ETC! & Bro Safari - Suspects

"This was like the clash of the titans. You got the best of both worlds between these two bass kings and 'Suspects' is still undeniable in the club."

Pickster & Melo - El Bumper

"No one knows how to smash a club better than Pickster and Melo. 'El Bumper' is one of their hottest moombahton tracks you can't help to bump and grind to."

Valentino Khan & Will Bailey - Rukus

"Notoriously the biggest buildup & drop in the history of moombahton. Dangerous!"

Sabo & Cassidy - Esa Loca Cumbia

"This was moombahton before moombahton. An influence and a staple in the crates during the early years that still goes to this day."

Nadastrom will be joined at CONTROL by JSTJR, Rawtek, and a solo set from Dave Nada himself on Friday 10/21. Get your tickets now.
